1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Top Floor Ltd ("Top Floor", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use the Top Floor platform. By using the platform you agree to this policy.

2. Information we collect

Account information you provide as a founder: name, email address, phone number, profile details, and the startup information you publish.

Investor information you submit through an interest form: name, email, optional company and phone, and your message.

Usage data collected automatically: pages viewed and referral source, in an aggregated, privacy-preserving form. We do not store your raw IP address. It is converted to an irreversible, daily-rotating hash used only for de-duplication and abuse prevention.

3. How we use information

To operate the marketplace: publish founder listings, deliver investor leads to the relevant founder, and provide analytics to founders about their own listings.

To send transactional email (verification, password reset, and lead notifications) and to respond to contact requests.

To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

Where GDPR applies, we process personal data on the bases of performance of a contract (operating your account), legitimate interests (security, analytics, and improving the platform), consent (where required), and legal obligation.

5. How information is shared

Investor contact details submitted through an interest form are shared only with the founder of the startup contacted, never published or sold.

Founder contact details are never displayed publicly; investors reach founders only through the interest form.

We use service providers (hosting, email delivery, object storage) that process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to keep the platform secure. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

7. Data retention

We retain account and listing data for as long as your account is active, and leads for as long as needed to provide the service, unless you request deletion or a longer period is required by law.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA) have the right to know, delete, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Top Floor does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined.

9. Security

We protect data with encryption in transit, hashed credentials, scoped access controls, and private storage for sensitive documents. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

10. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms to protect it.

11. Children

Top Floor is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the last-updated date at the top of this page.
